I learned what small business really costs from behind my dad’s counter
That’s why I help owners like you get some time back, one task at a time.

Weekends at the video store
In the 1990s, my dad ran a video store. I helped out on weekends.
The sign said open 12 to 8. In real life, he was often there until 10, because customers were still in the store. He worked seven days a week.
He wasn’t complaining. He wanted the business to work, so he gave it everything. His time. His money. His evenings with us.
And he did almost all of it himself. Serving customers. Doing the books. Ordering stock. Running the actual business. His only real help was family, and later a few employees. When the employees were good, he could breathe a little. When they weren’t, he had to be there every hour the doors were open.
No days off. Not for himself, and not much for us.
Why AI caught my attention
Years later, as a business owner myself, I started working with AI.
I wasn’t impressed by the hype. I was struck by something quieter: AI could take on the small, repeat tasks that eat an owner’s day. The follow-ups. The customer updates. The emails that start from a blank page every time.
I didn’t see a robot. I saw the help my dad never had.
Most small business owners I talk to love what they do. What wears them down is everything around it. The hours, the admin, and not being able to step away.
That’s the part I want to help with.
What I believe about AI in a small business
- Start with the task, not the tool. Pick one job that keeps landing on you. Fix that first.
- You stay in control. AI drafts. You review. You decide what goes out.
- Plain English only. If I can’t explain it simply, it’s not ready for your business.
- Small wins beat big overhauls. One working system is worth more than ten half-finished ones.
- Time is the goal. I won’t promise you’ll make more money. I’ll help you get hours back.
